Korean actor Jung Eun-woo passed away on Feb. 11 after leaving a message on his Instagram account. He was 39.
He appeared in the series "Welcome to Waikiki 2," "My Only One," and "The Return of Hwang Geum-bok" and “Bride of the Sun.”
At the SBS Drama Awards, he won the New Star Award for “Five Fingers” in 2012 and Best Actor in a Drama Short for “Stranger” in 2013.
On Feb. 10, Jung Eun-woo posted photos of the late Hong Kong actor Leslie Cheung who died in 2003, British singer Amy Winehouse who died in 2011, and himself on Instagram with the caption “PIR.BG,” which, for netizens, meant “Rest in peace.Goodbye.”
Born in 1986, Jung Eun-woo played basketball at Songdo Middle School and Songdo High School in Incheon, South Korea.
He debuted as an actor in 2006 through the drama “Sharp” season 3.
The wake for Jung Eun-woo is at the New Korea Hospital Funeral Home. The funeral will be held on Feb. 13 and the burial will be at Byeokje Crematorium.
