Flowers welcome, romance on hold: Kylie Padilla's V-Day vibe
Actress Kylie Padilla is putting love on hold—her heart belongs to her kids for now.
"Ayoko talaga muna. Gusto ko munang mag-focus sa mga anak ko. Gusto kong bumawi muna sa kanila." (Right now, I really don't want to. I want to focus on my children and make it up to them first)," Kylie shared when asked about falling in love again at the premiere of her upcoming movie, "The Lotto Winner," at SM North Edsa in Quezon City on Feb. 11.

Kylie may be solo this Valentine's Day, but her door—and her heart—are open to bouquets.
"Hindi naman ako tatanggi sa mga bulaklak if ever may magbibigay. Pero alam naman ng mga manliligaw ko na hindi pa ako ready. Basta alam nilang lahat kung ano ang estado ko ngayon." (I wouldn't turn down flowers if someone gave them to me. But all my suitors know I'm not ready yet—they're all aware of my current situation)," she added.
After three years of marriage, Kylie and actor Aljur Abrenica called it quits in 2021, rocked by Aljur's highly publicized affair. The breakup sparked a new chapter as co-parents to their sons, Alas Joaquin and Axl Romeo. Aljur owned up to cheating on Kylie, later going public with his romance with sultry star AJ Raval.
Kylie said she has forgiven Aljur for the sake of their children. "Oo naman. Nakatulong ang mga anak ko sa part nila. Iniisip ko na lang talaga is yung happiness nila." (Of course, my children played a big part. Now, all I care about is their happiness.)"
Kylie Padilla and Albert Martinez play daughter and father in 'The Lotto Winner' under MAVX Productions.
Robin Padilla’s daughter revealed she’s already had a heart-to-heart with AJ.
"Nakapag-usap na kami. As much as possible, ayoko na la ng umingay yung issue or whatever. Kasi iniisip ko talaga yung mga anak ko. Ayoko na may makita silang negative or mag-cause ng overthinking nila. Kahit na ano pa ang ibato mo sa akin, ayoko na siyang lumaki. I don't have any advice for her, but I am happy for them." (We've already talked. As much as possible, I don't want the issue to get any bigger. My main concern is my children—I don't want them to see anything negative or start overthinking. No matter what people throw at me, I don't want things to escalate. I have no advice for her, but I'm happy for them.)," she said.
The best love advice she could offer on Heart's Day: "Sa akin lang ay dapat hindi nawawala ang kilig. Dapat i-date mo pa rin ang asawa mo o girlfriend mo kahit na busy kayong dalawa. Otherwise, mawawala ang spark eh." (For me, you should never lose that sense of excitement. Keep dating your wife or girlfriend, even if you're both busy. Otherwise, the spark will fade.)"
Also starring Albert Martinez and Sienna Stevens, the film features a strong supporting cast, including Robert Sena, Daniela Stranner, Karina Bautista, and Milo Elmido.
