15 hurt in Batangas jeepney plunge

CUENCA, Batangas – Fifteen individuals were injured when a passenger jeepney crashed into a canal on Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 11, in Barangay Ibabao, this town.
Police said the jeepney with license plates DXS-317 driven by Joemar, 32, was on its way to Lemery, Batangas when its steering wheel allegedly locked.
Joemar lost control of the vehicle and the jeepney plunged into a canal.
Fifteen passengers taken to the Cuenca General Hospital and two were transported to the Martin Marasigan Memorial Hospital.
Joemar was unhurt and is in the custody of the Cuenca police for proper disposition.
