Pupil killed by stray bullet in Maguindanao del Sur

A five-year-old pupil was killed by a stray bullet on Wednesday morning, Feb. 11, in Datu Piang, Maguindanao del Sur.
Police said the victim was inside their classroom at Damabalas Elementary School when the child suddenly slumped to the ground.
The child’s teacher checked the victim and discovered a bullet wound.
The victim died on the spot.
The incident happened amid an encounter between armed groups in nearby Nabalawag, Special Geographic Area.
The Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region condoled with the family of the victim and is conducting a thorough and impartial investigation.
