Police seized P680,000 worth of shabu and arrested three persons in a targeted buy-bust operation in Taguig on Feb. 10.
The operation was conducted by the Southern Police District’s District Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with the District Intelligence Division and Taguig police in Barangay Lower Bicutan.
The sting resulted in the arrest of three individuals: alias Caz, a 28-year-old high-value individual; alias Nick, 36; and alias Sahid, 31.
The police recovered about 100 grams of shabu in the operation. During the search of Caz, tagged as the primary suspect, operatives recovered 50 grams of shabu along with a genuine P1,000 bill and 49 pieces of P1,000 boodle money, and a cell phone. The other two suspects yielded 25 grams of shabu each.
The suspects will face a complaint for violation of Sections 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, SPD chief, said, "By recovering this substantial amount of narcotics, we have prevented these substances from reaching our neighborhoods."
