Mr. Chinatown Global 2026 Ang Wei Yang (Malaysia) and Ms. Chinatown Global 2026 Tyra Rosnuk (Canada)
At its second edition, Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Global crowned its newest titleholders during the winners’ night held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Feb. 10, with Ang Wei Yang of Malaysia and Tyra Rosnuk of Canada clinching the top honors at the prestigious international pageant.
As first-time pageant contenders, Ang Wei and Tyra will serve as ambassadors, promoting and celebrating the rich heritage and vibrant traditions of Chinese communities.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, the winners expressed their gratitude and honor at winning the crown.
"I’m lost for words. Honestly, I am astounded. "I am very honored to receive this award and title," Tyra said.
"I didn’t expect I could get into the Top 6 at all. Then Top 6, Top 3, and all the special awards. This is so overwhelming. It’s a lot," Ang Wei added.
Joining them on winning the crown are Olivier Liu Xu (Switzerland) and Khaohom Seearamroongruang (Thailand), Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Global 1st Runner; Yi Fang Gao (Canada) and Belle Nanphasorn (Malaysia), Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Global 2nd runner-up.
The pageant's special awards were given to the following: Ang Wei Yang (Malaysia) and Rochelle Kirsten Canlas (USA), who were awarded Mr. & Ms. Friendship; Faces of Chinatown - Adrien Yaw Kan Tong, and Estellina Ah-hon, both representing Mauritius; Best in Formal Wear - Olivier Liu Xu (Switzerland) and Monica Geronimo (Philippines); Best Resort Wear - Olivier Liu Xu (Switzerland) and Monica Geronimo (Philippines).
Sponsor awards went to: Ms. Hotel101 - Ang Wei Yang (Malaysia) and Christina Cai (Singapore); Mr. & Ms. King Chef - Yi Fang Gao (Canada) and Christina Cai (Singapore); Mr. and Ms.Gibi Shoes - Ang Wei Yang (Malaysia) and Monica Geronimo (Philippines); Mr. & Ms. Youthful Confidence by Hana PH - Olivier Liu Xu (Switzerland) and Monica Geronimo (Philippines); and Mr. and Ms. Novodental - Aldrich Chen Perez (Philippines) and Khaohom Seearamroongruang (Thailand).
Twenty-three candidates from 15 different countries competed for the coveted titles of Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Global. Contestants were evaluated based on their resort wear, formal wear, and the final question. In addition to the big three segments, they were evaluated during their pre-pageant activities, closed-door interviews, and rehearsals.
The coronation night was hosted by the talented Janeena Chan, a beauty queen; Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Global Pageant Director Nicole Cordoves; Kevin Tai; and Marc Nelson.
