Amid the busy streets of Metro Manila, La Mesa Ecopark in Quezon City offers a refreshing break for residents seeking fresh air and open spaces.
Mayor Joy Belmonte recently visited the ecopark to explore the area and highlight its role as one of the city’s remaining green spaces.
The 33-hectare park, located within the La Mesa Watershed Reservation, is open daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. It remains one of the few large open spaces in the city, giving visitors a chance to relax without leaving Quezon City.
Belmonte said entrance to the park is free for Quezon City residents, who must present a valid QC ID. Non-residents, meanwhile, are required to pay a minimal entrance fee.
The ecopark is managed by the Manila Water Foundation in partnership with the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System, the Quezon City government, and Manila Water Company.
Visitors can take part in activities such as nature walks, rappelling, wall climbing, bird watching, and archery tag. The park also features picnic areas and open grounds suitable for families and groups.
Guests are required to make advance reservations through the Manila Water Foundation website prior to their visit.
The local government said the ecopark continues to promote environmental awareness while providing a safe and accessible outdoor space for residents and visitors alike.
