Pasig LGU to hold Workers' Affairs caravan on Valentine's Day
Indeed, Valentine’s Day is not just for romantic love, but can also celebrate other forms of positive connections, with the local government of Pasig set to hold a Workers’ Affairs caravan for employees and their employers on Feb. 14 to help strengthen their relationship.
The city’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO) is inviting employers and their employees to attend a caravan on Saturday, Feb. 14, at Room 201, 2nd Floor, Temporary Pasig City Hall in Barangay Rosario, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
It said that the activity aims to foster better understanding between employers and employees, improve employee well-being, and strengthen productive and positive workplace relationships.
During the caravan, various national government agencies, labor institutions, the Tripartite Industrial Peace Council, and Pasig-PESO will gather to immediately address issues between employers and employees related to their work.
The caravan will provide legal consultations, as well as services from SSS, Pag-IBIG Fund, and PhilHealth. Attendees may also seek advice on freedom of association and clarification on issues related to wages, benefits, contracts, working conditions, and termination.
The local government also said that there will be orientations on Alternative Dispute Resolution and the Labor Management Cooperative and Grievance Machinery.
