EDAC Group, a global provider of interconnectivity solutions, has selected the Filinvest Innovation Park in New Clark City as the site for its latest manufacturing plant, signaling an expansion into Southeast Asia and bolstering Central Luzon’s status as an industrial hub.
The company formalized its entry into the Philippines by signing a five-year lease for a 5,000-square-meter ready-built factory at the park, known as FIP-NCC. The facility will function as a regional manufacturing center to serve EDAC’s expanding customer base across Asia. Commercial operations are scheduled to begin by the second quarter of 2026. At full capacity, the plant is expected to employ approximately 90 workers, contributing to technical skill development in the region.
The lease agreement was signed by Francis Ceballos, Senior Vice President at Filinvest Land Inc., and Connie Robinson, Financial Director of EDAC Philippines Inc. The signing was witnessed by officials from the Bases Conversion and Development Authority and FIP-NCC management.
Sherwin Robinson, Director of Operations for EDAC Philippines, described the move as a strategic step, citing the park’s modern infrastructure and its proximity to export gateways as primary drivers for the investment. He noted that the environment is conducive to the company’s long-term manufacturing goals.
For Filinvest Land, the addition of EDAC to its roster of tenants highlights the growing appeal of New Clark City for global technology-driven enterprises. Ceballos said the investment reflects international confidence in the Philippines and the specific growth potential of Central Luzon’s industrial corridors.
The project has already cleared regulatory hurdles, with EDAC’s Philippine operations securing registration with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority on Jan. 5, 2026. This status allows the company to access fiscal incentives provided under the national investment framework, such as income tax holidays and enhanced deductions.
Kenneth Peralta, Vice President at the BCDA, said the arrival of EDAC validates the fundamental strengths of New Clark City as a destination for global investors seeking resilience and sustainability. The signing ceremony took place at the Quest Plus Hotel Clark within the Mimosa Plus Leisure Estate.
The entry of EDAC Group further positions the Filinvest Innovation Park as a catalyst for industrial growth in the Philippines. As more global manufacturers seek to diversify their supply chains within Southeast Asia, the New Clark City development continues to attract capital by leveraging its integrated logistics and infrastructure capabilities.
