The Huawei Mate X7 is a foldable phone and because of its versatility to offer a much bigger screen, it is designed for productivity. It should be important to emphasize here that Huawei specifically mentioned “long lasting waterproof seal.” This would mean the waterproofness of the Mate X7 is not a permanent thing and would weaken eventually. But Huawei has always been consistent with their promises and features, so we expect this seal would last for a number of years, and by then you’d have switched out to a new device, possibly still with Huawei.

The rear camera setup of the Huawei Mate X7 consists of two 50MPs and one 40MP. Image and video quality of Huawei devices have always been top tier. Many of you would have seen that in the Pura and nova series, even the classic P series from a couple of years ago, Huawei has always had great image quality. One of these 50MP lenses has what Huawei calls Ultra Lighting HDR, which they say provides professional-level videography, 4K recording with high dynamic range. It also has a dedicated movie effect mode, which slightly blurs the background to give it that… as the name suggests, movie effect, and not something soapy. It’s also got excellent low-light, so you can take pictures and videos with less worry of the lighting.

The Huawei Mate X7 has a 5600mAh battery with 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. And when it comes with AI, Huawei is no straggler, as the the camera has AI retouches, AI best expressions, AI gesture controls, AI messaging to make messaging to friends faster or if you need to write a formal message to someone important you can generate the message without leaving the messaging app, and AI editing such as removing unwanted objects in the background.

Huawei is all about delivering a flagship experience and it shows with the Mate X7. It’s durable, capable of surviving some drops, waterproof, and has the specs to deliver your needs.
