The office of the vice president for Public Relations and External Corporate Affairs, Ma. Flordeliza R. de Guzman, MA.ED. announces the celebration of St. Bernadette College of Alabang, Inc.’s 43rd Foundation Week Celebration on Feb.11 – 13, 2026, marking a two-year countdown toward its Sapphire Anniversary in 2028.

This year’s theme, “Strengthened with Honor and Inspiration by Nurturing Excellence and Service,” unfolds the emphasis on the continuous mission of the institution in fostering leadership towards social transformation in the community and among its stakeholders.

The three-day celebration shall commence in the morning of Feb. 11 with a motorcade to be participated in by various stakeholders. This will be followed by a Eucharistic Celebration to give thanks for the abundant blessings the institution has received over the past 43 years, and to honor the Feast Day of Our Lady of Lourdes, the principal Patroness of the institution, which coincides with the opening of the foundation anniversary celebration. The said solemn occasion shall be presided over by Rev. Fr. Hansel Marasigan, chaplain of Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel – Filinvest City. Thereafter, the 43rd foundation anniversary kick-off ceremony which will highlight the Field Demonstration of K-Prim and the Awarding of Outstanding Alumni.

SBCA president Dr. Felicitas C. Rabonza will host a fellowship luncheon for faculty, staff, administrators, and stakeholders as a gesture of gratitude for their dedication and invaluable contributions to the institution.

In the afternoon, the opening of the Intramurals will take place, highlighted by the parade and presentation of team colors, ceremonial toss, lighting of the torch of sportsmanship, and the production of Mr. and Ms. Intramurals. The day will also feature the College Department Dance Competition, initiated by the freshman Physical Education classes, and will conclude with band performances and a community sing-along.

The second day of the foundation week highlights the achievements of the SBCA community. It will highlight the achievements and service initiatives of the SBCA community. Activities will begin with the TVET Graduation Ceremony for NC II Scholars, recognizing their successful completion of their respective programs.

Simultaneously, the Medical Mission and Blood Donation Activity, under the Lingap Bernadettian Program, will be spearheaded by the OVP for Administration headed by VP Romualdo C. Rabonza, MBA, in collaboration with the Campus Health Office and the TVET Caregiving NC II Department. This initiative will be conducted in partnership with the Muntinlupa City Health Office and sponsoring industry partners who will provide medical supplies and essentials.

Performances from the Basic Education Department, including a Zumba Dance led by the Dance Club, as well as Tinig Kiddie and Tinig Bernadettian, will also be held on the same day.

As the highlight of the day, the College Department will host two major simultaneous events: the “SCHOLARIS MANUM OPUS – THE SECOND SBCA INVITATIONAL RESEARCH FORUM FOR SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS” welcoming participants from public and private schools in Muntinlupa and nearby cities; and the impromptu cooking show spearheaded by the College of Hospitality Management, to be held at the newly built SBCA College Kitchen.

The final day of the Foundation Week will feature the Palaro ng Lahi and Team-Building Activities, facilitated by Central Student Council and Team Lingap Generations, both are student body of servant leaders moderated by Christian Ruedas, the secretary of the College. These activities aim to strengthen camaraderie, cooperation, and teamwork among participants. A boodle fight for college freshmen will follow.

Meanwhile, the booth and bazaar day, organized by the College of Hospitality Management and the College of Business Administration and Entrepreneurship, will also be conducted, showcasing student creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial skills.

The celebration will culminate in the closing ceremony, which will include the awarding of winners and recognition of outstanding participants. The program will be spearheaded by the Committee on Sports, headed by Leo Atenta (College Department), Sophia Carillo (Basic Education Department), and Meliza Rempis (TVET Department).

Finally, in celebration of another success of its 43rd Foundation Anniversary, the St. Bernadette College of Alabang Theatre Arts Company proudly presents its latest stage play, “Hapag” — written by SBCA alumna Maureen A. Layno and directed by RC Montalbo and Er-lony Prudente. The stage play will be shown on Feb. 27–28, 2026, at Ayala Malls South Park Cinema, Muntinlupa City. Tickets are available at the school’s office. “Hapag” is a moving drama that reflects the enduring presence of hope and God even in life’s darkest moments, reminding us that no matter how far one falls, the table of mercy is always prepared and waiting.

The 43rd Foundation Anniversary Celebration marks an important milestone in the life of the institution, a moment to celebrate accomplishments, strengthen bonds, and inspire one another as we continue moving forward together towards the Sapphire Anniversary in 2028. Through these celebrations, the SBCA community reaffirms its dedication to holistic education, meaningful community engagement, and the pursuit of excellence, ensuring that the values of honor, inspiration, and service remain at heart.
