'Made in Korea' sets record for most viewed Korean Original premiere in APAC on Disney+
“Made in Korea,” starring Hyun Bin, Jung Woo-sung and Woo Do-hwan, set a record for its premiere.
Disney+ announced that “Made in Korea” became the No. 1 most viewed Korean Original premiere of 2025 in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region on Disney+.
“Made in Korea” premiered on Disney+ last Dec. 24. Season 2 of “Made in Korea,” first confirmed during the Disney+ Originals Preview at Hong Kong Disneyland last November, has started production.
The first look of what audiences can expect was revealed in the 2026 slate preview announcement.
“Made In Korea” season 1 follows Baek Kitae, an ambitious KCIA agent who’s living a double life.
Driven by a thirst for power, he works as a government agent by day while running a highly illegal operation by night.
He rapidly moves up the ranks after using his smuggling operation to consolidate power, protect his brother, and generate vast sums of money for the agency. The only one that stands his way is a prosecutor.
Hyun Bin (“Crash Landing On You,” “Confidential Assignment”) plays the role of agent Baek Kitae, Jung Woo-sung as prosecutor Jang Geonyoung, and Woo Do-hwan (“Bloodhounds,” “Mr. Plankton”) as Kitae’s brother Baek Kihyun.
The series is written by Park Eunkyo (“Sea of Tranquility,” “Mother”) and Park Joon-seok (“A Normal Family”) and directed by Woo Minho (“The Man Standing Next,” “Inside Men”).
