BACOLOD CITY – Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson on Monday, Feb. 9, condemned the recent brutal attack on three siblings in Silay City, Negros Occidental.
One of the siblings was killed.
Lacson said that authorities have identified a person of interest and expressed confidence that the suspect will soon be arrested and held accountable.
"What is important now is that there’s already a person of interest, and I believe soon the police will apprehend the person and be made to answer for his action,” he added.
He vowed assistance for the victims’ family.
The victims’ mother, an Overseas Filipino Worker, arrived from Saudi Arabia on Sunday night, Feb. 8.
Police Lt. Col. Edison Garcia, Silay police chief, said that they are awaiting the results of the medical examination conducted by the Scene-of-the-Crime Operatives (SOCO) on the nine-year-old victim.
