The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has started repairing the damaged section of Manila North Road in Apalit, Pampanga.
DPWH said the project is expected to be completed within three to four months.
Rehabilitation efforts were launched following an inspection by DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon on Jan. 23 to ensure timely completion before the rainy season.
Work includes resurfacing the road, repairing potholes, and strengthening shoulders to improve driving conditions.
Apalit’s stretch is a key national road in Pampanga and has shown visible pavement deterioration that could worsen during heavy rains if not addressed immediately.
DPWH said the project forms part of its ongoing drive to maintain national roads and respond promptly to government directives on infrastructure interventions.
