Classes suspended in Eastern Samar Tuesday due to shear line
TACLOBAN CITY – Gov. Ralph Vincent Evardone suspended classes in Eastern Samar on Tuesday, Feb. 10, due to the effects of the shear line and ensure the safety of students, teachers, and school personnel.
“The decision was made following advisories from PAGASA, warning of continuous heavy rainfall ranging from 100 to 200 millimeters, which may cause flooding in low-lying areas and landslides in mountainous parts of the province,” said Evardone.
Borongan City and many municipalities were placed under orange and yellow rainfall warnings.
Residents were advised to remain alert, monitor official announcements, and take necessary precaution.
