TWO women were killed in a collision between a motorcycle and passenger van in Tayabas City, Quezon.
TAYABAS CITY, Quezon – Two women were killed and their companion was injured in a collision between a motorcycle and passenger van here on Monday morning, Feb. 9.
Police Lt. Col. Elizabeth Capistrano, city police chief, identified the fatalities as Jenny, 21, and Janelle, 20.
Investigation said the passenger van driven by Mark, 25, with 14 passengers accidentally rammed the motorcycle driven by Josh, 22, and the fatalities as back riders in an intersection.
The two women died on the spot due to severe injuries and Josh was taken to a hospital.
Mark fled but a Land Transportation Office member present in the area apprehended him.
Mark was found to be driving without a license and the van was unregistered at the Land Transportation Office and had an improvised license plate number.
Mark faces cases of reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide, serious physical injury, and damage to property.
