From self-made to world-ready: SB19's mission to uplift Filipino artists
SB19 — Justin, Stell, Felip, Josh, and Pablo — are igniting a movement to propel the next generation of Filipino talents onto the global stage, pouring their passion and experience into uplifting new artists.

At the inaugural trade show for 1Z Entertainment, SB19’s artist management company, Pablo pledged that their mission is to empower emerging Filipino talents to boldly chase their dreams and break boundaries.
"We believe in the power of Filipino talent, shaped by our own journey—self-taught, self-produced, and relentless. We’ve walked this path, and now we’re paving the way for others to shine."
"If we had a system to support us back then, we could have soared even higher. But today, with 1Z Entertainment, we’re building that foundation for the next generation—to help them reach heights we only dreamed of."
Pablo
"Tutulungan namin lahat ng Filipino talents para ma-achieve nila ang gusto nilang ma-achieve at makarating sila sa direksyon na gusto nilang puntahan. Yun po ang pinakamahalaga sa amin. (We will help all Filipino talents achieve what they want and reach the direction they want to go.) That is what is most important to us)," said Pablo during the trade launch held in Quezon City.
Pablo added, "Our conversations always circle back to our dream—a vision bigger than ourselves. We want to bridge Filipino culture with every sector—fashion, language, products, experiences, places, and tourism. Our goal is to connect these with our artists so the world can truly celebrate the richness of Filipino identity."
"Through our artists and collaborations, we aim to create something the world can be proud of—a legacy that shines with Filipino excellence," said Pablo, CEO of 1Z Entertainment.
Josh
Owned by SB19, 1Z Entertainment was launched in 2023. But it was only this year that the firm held a trade launch.
"Right now, ginawa mo namin ang trade launch na ito hindi para maghanap ng sponsorships (we did this trade launch not to look for sponsorships), but to introduce Filipino talents, including products, all over the world," said Pablo.
Josh shared more about 1Z Entertainment's dreams and vision.
"We've seen a lot of one-hit wonders or viral moments from other artists. Pero sayang naman kung viral moments lang. (Unfortunately, it's just viral moments). At 1Z, we have always dreamed of building a system beyond a talent agency. Welcome to the new norm and welcome to the new system," Josh also said.
Stell
New girl group
At the same event, 1Z Entertainment also teased the new girl group, which will launch sometime this year.
During an interview after the launch, Gallahan East, marketing communications manager at 1Z Entertainment, did not disclose details about the upcoming girl group, which he described in one word: "different."
"In terms of the girl group, definitely this year. I cannot say the actual date, but it's coming soon. Last last year we started the auditions for the girl group. If you visited our social media, you'll see we're looking for a new set of trainees. Yes, we're training a girl group, and another group is coming in. We're currently in the audition process. It will be a mix. This one is for boys and girls," Gallahan said.
Justin
He added, "Let's position them in terms of the current P-pop girl groups in the Philippines. It's very different from the current landscape in terms of music and the dynamic of the girls."
When asked if these girls are fresh faces in the entertainment scene, Gallahan said, 'Oh yes! Regarding the process, we want to ensure these girls are truly new. No exposures yet or anything. Puhunan talaga nila ay yung mga pangarap nila. (Their real investment is their dreams.) We need to ensure these girls are ready. We want to make sure they are at the same caliber as SB19."
"They are composers and create their own music. So that's a hint of what to expect from these girls," he also said.
Gallahan said that this is the first time 1Z Entertainment held a trade launch.
"It's important to open a trade launch, not because a girl group is coming in. But we want to open under 1Z Entertainment and position it as an entertainment management company.
Felip
"For the longest time, it's always SB19, and that's great. But what about the people behind? The people working behind the scenes. I think this is a good introduction for everyone here: these are the people working behind SB19.
Going back to the upcoming girl group, when asked to describe the girl group in one word, Gallahan answered, "Oh! Oh my God! That's hard! Let's just say, 'different.' "
Despite the saturated market, Gallahan hopes the girl group will fill the gap by presenting something unique.
"For now, let's leave it to the fans to theorize about the new girl group. The positioning is really different. Hopefully, these girls will fill the gap by providing something we don't have here in the Philippines.
"I think there's always a seat for everyone. Everyone should be excited about this new girl group because they will introduce something new. Not just dynamics or visuals, most importantly music, because these girls are artists first," he added.
