Scheduled power outage to hit parts of Sampaloc, Sta. Cruz, Quiapo

Several areas in Sampaloc, Sta. Cruz and Quiapo in Manila will experience a temporary power interruption on Sunday, Feb. 8, due to scheduled maintenance works by the Manila Electric Company (Meralco).
In an advisory, Meralco said the outage will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and is necessary for the replacement of electrical facilities and line reconductoring works along España Boulevard, S.H. Loyola Street, and R. Papa Street in Sampaloc.
Affected areas include:
• Portions of S.H. Loyola Street, from C.M. Recto Avenue to P. Paredes Street, including Every Nation U-Belt, McDonald’s, and the University of the East–Lualhati Building in Sampaloc
• Portions of R. Papa Street, from S.H. Loyola Street to Quezon Boulevard, including FEU Gymnasium, National College of Business & Arts, Philippine Pharmacists Association Inc., and Philippine School of Business Administration in Sampaloc
• Portions of N. Reyes Street, from R. Papa Street to Lerma Street, including Philtrust Bank and Jollibee in Sampaloc
• Portions of España Boulevard and Lerma Street, from Tolentino (Cataluna) Street to Quezon Boulevard, including Doña Amparo Building, St. Thomas Square, Uncle John’s, and parts of the FEU compound in Sampaloc
• Portions of Adelina Street, from España Boulevard to Delos Reyes Street in Sampaloc
• Portions of P. Campa Street, from KB Arizona Tower to Delos Reyes Street, including Summithill Holdings Inc. and McDonald’s in Sampaloc
• Portions of Paquito Street, from España Boulevard to Delos Reyes Street in Sampaloc
• Portions of Quezon Boulevard, from C.M. Recto Avenue in Quiapo to Lerma Street in Sampaloc and Sta. Cruz, including Far Eastern University Inc. in Quiapo
• Portions of C.M. Recto Avenue, from Quezon Boulevard to the streets of Cadena de Amor, Camia, Daisy, Dama de Noche, Fortune, Gumamela, Ilang-Ilang, and Sampaguita inside the LRC Compound in Sta. Cruz
Meralco advised affected residents and business establishments to make the necessary preparations and take precautionary measures during the scheduled power interruption.
