Manila LGU gears up for Sparkle Run 2026

The Manila City Government, together with GMA Sparkle Artist Center and Runrio Inc., signed an agreement for the upcoming Sparkle Run 2026 aimed at promoting fitness and health to the public as well as showcasing the city's famous landmarks and heritage sites.

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno" Domagoso, GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, Sparkle First Vice President Joy Marcelo, and Runrio Inc. President and CEO Rio dela Cruz all attended the signing event at city hall on Friday, Feb. 5.

Slated for May 30, the race event will be held at the Quirino Grandstand and will pass through various tourist and historical sites across the city. Talents from GMA Sparkle Artist Center will also participate in the marathon, which will surely bring joy and excitement to the attendees.

Domagoso said it brings him joy that different organizations continue to partner with the city government in conducting events that promote the beautiful sites and rich history of Manila, which in turn boosts the city's tourism economy.
