Direk Jun also thanked the team behind the movie, which is produced by Star Cinema, The IdeaFirst Company, and Viva Films.
The comedy-drama earned praise from viewers and film critics alike for its heartwarming story about the sacrifices that mothers make out of love for their children, whether related by blood or by choice.
It was awarded at the 51st MMFF Gabi ng Parangal for 3rd Best Picture and Gender Sensitivity, while Vice and Lucas Andalio won Best Actor and Best Child Performer, respectively.
“Call Me Mother” is still showing in select cinemas in Canada, Singapore, and Australia.
