A four-month pregnant woman was arrested during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Masoc, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya on Thursday.
Seized by the police from the 20-year-old suspect were four sachets of suspected shabu weighing 15 grams and valued at P102,000, buy-bust money, cellphone, and and drug paraphernalia.
The suspect is detained at the Bayombong Police Station and the pieces of evidence have been sent to the Regional Forensic Unit 2 in Santiago City, Isabela for laboratory examination.
She faces charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Nueva Vizcaya police chief Police Col. Paul T. Bometivo said they remain relentless in the fight against illegal drugs. “Protecting the community, especially the youth, remains our top priority,” he said.
