Teenage student shot dead due to unpaid debt

BACOLOD CITY – A 17-year-old student was gunned down allegedly due to an unpaid debt in Barangay Refugio, Calatrava, Negros Occidental on Thursday, Feb. 5.
Police initially received a report over a vehicular accident but later found out it was a shooting incident.
Investigation said the victim was shot in a dimly-lit road far from houses.
The victim sustained a bullet wound in the right side of the head that exited in the back.
Investigation added that the male victim, a resident of San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, had an undetermined amount of debt to the suspect. The suspect remains at large.
Police are also probing the victim’s agenda in Calatrava.
