The Mitsubishi Versa Van is back. Succeeding the highly popular L300 Versa Van, this new model hopes to appeal to buyers looking for reliable way to transport large groups of people or for business.
The new Versa Van is based on the NV350 Urvan from Nissan, which is a member of the Renault Nissan Mitsubishi alliance. The Versa Van is a 15-seater, offering five rows of seats, three in each row. The four back rows have a foldable jump seat on the right side to make entry and exit easier for all the rows. Getting in or out is easy through the large right side sliding door and a rear liftgate. Each row also has dedicated air vents on the ceiling for each seat row, ensuring consistent air con flow throughout the cabin.
In front of the driver is a dual dial instrument cluster with a multi-info display between them. The stickshift is mounted on the dashboard itself for easy reach. This allows the van to fit a third passenger in front. When not in use, the seat can be folded.
Powering it is a 2.5-liter turbo-diesel engine that produces 129-PS and 356 Nm of torque. It’s paired with a five-speed manual gearbox that drives the rear wheels.
Finally, for safety, the Versa Van has dual front airbags for the driver & front passenger. The driver also gets an auto-dimming mirror.
The Mitsubishi Versa Van is available in a single variant: the GLX 2WD MT. It is now available, priced at P1.649 million. Color choices include silver metallic and white solid.
