The Manila city government has issued traffic rerouting and road closure advisories in several areas ahead of the Saint Jude Catholic School–Mendiola Consortium’s Run for Peace 2026 on Sunday, Feb. 8.

According to the city’s Public Information Office, the traffic measures will be implemented from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. to ensure the safety of participants and motorists during the event.

During the event, the southbound lane of the Binondo–Intramuros Bridge will be closed, along with Magallanes Drive from Jones Bridge, southbound lane, to the Bureau of Immigration; Riverside Drive access beside the Manila Post Office; Anda Gate; Victoria Gate; Gen. Luna Gate (Roundtable); and A. Soriano Gate at Anda Circle.

Motorists were advised to take the following alternate routes during the event:

— Vehicles coming from Jones Bridge and intending to use Magallanes Drive and Anda Gate to enter Intramuros are advised to proceed straight along P. Burgos Avenue to their destination.

— Public utility jeepneys and other vehicles coming from MacArthur Bridge and bound for Magallanes Drive or Riverside access should continue straight along P. Burgos Avenue.

— Vehicles coming from Quezon Bridge and intending to use Victoria Gate should proceed straight along P. Burgos Avenue.

— Motorists coming from the southbound lane of the Binondo–Intramuros Bridge are advised to continue straight to Muelle Banco del Nacional toward Plaza Sta. Cruz.

Authorities urged motorists to plan their trips ahead of time and use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion during the event.
