"Miss Universe Philippines is a major event, not just in the country but across the globe. Every year, there's an expectation to send someone well-prepared and passionate. I see this as a great opportunity to compete alongside top contenders, even as a newcomer. I believe I can grow and improve by learning from the veterans," Princess shared.
Discussing her preparations, Princess explained, "I won my pageant in Calgary in January 2025, giving me a year to prepare. My team and I are deeply passionate about our work, which I believe is crucial when joining a pageant."
At 22, Princess recognizes that pageants hold a special place in the hearts of many Filipinos.
"It's like the Olympics for Filipinos—expectations are very high. I know the pageant journey will be challenging, but it will also be enjoyable since it’s a new experience for me," she added.
Princess names Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach as her favorite beauty queen.
"She exudes authenticity. Her journey to winning both Miss Universe Philippines and Miss Universe shows how hard she worked to achieve her dreams."
Born in the Philippines and raised in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Princess later moved with her family to Canada. She is also a strong advocate for cultural diversity.
"Cultural diversity and mutual understanding are essential to resolving issues. It’s important to learn from each other and use our differences as strengths," she said.
Princess describes herself as adventurous, always eager to try new things. She expressed gratitude to her parents for their unwavering support throughout her pageant journey.
When asked about her pride in being Filipino, Princess responded, "I’ve met Filipinos in Alberta and the UAE, and no matter where you go, Filipinos are among the warmest and most accommodating people you’ll ever meet. I’m proud to carry that hospitality and extend it to everyone I encounter."
