Parañaque gov't distributes 'Emergency Go Bags' to boost disaster preparedness

The city government of Parañaque distributed Emergency Go Bags on Feb. 5 to strengthen disaster preparedness and help ensure the safety of every household.
Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez led the house-to-house distribution of the Emergency Go Bags in Barangay San Martin de Porres.
Olivarez said the initiative is part of the activities lined up for the city’s 28th founding anniversary, aimed at equipping families with essential supplies needed during emergencies, disasters, and other unforeseen situations.
He emphasized that the Emergency Go Bag is a vital tool for preparedness and protection that enables families to respond quickly when calamities strike.
Residents warmly welcomed the activity and expressed their appreciation, noting the importance of readiness at the community level.
Olivarez added that the distribution of Emergency Go Bags will continue in other barangays as part of the city government’s ongoing efforts to build safer and more resilient communities.
He said that through unity and shared responsibility, the local government continues to promote a culture of preparedness.
