The Mandaluyong City Government has issued a traffic rerouting scheme for Sunday, Feb. 8, as part of its preparations for the city's 81st Liberation Anniversary and 32nd Cityhood Anniversary.
According to the local government unit (LGU), the following roads will be closed starting at 6 a.m. on Feb. 8, to give way for the Liberation Day Parade and concert:
• Gen. Kalentong Street (Liwasang Katubusan in Barangay. Pag-asa)
• Nueve de Pebrero Street (In front of Shaw Center Mall in Barangay. Addition Hills)
Motorists are also advised that moderate to heavy traffic can be expected in the nearby roads and avenues.
"Ang pamamahala sa trapiko at rerouting ay ipatutupad ng City Traffic and Parking Management Department (CTPMD) upang matiyak ang kaligtasan ng publiko at maayos na daloy ng trapiko (Traffic management and rerouting will be implemented by the City Traffic and Parking Management Department to ensure public safety and smooth traffic flow)," the city government said.
