One of the more popular motorcycles in the market has just received a timely update, making it more appealing for those seeking a vehicle that can do it all: daily commuting and leisure riding. That new model is the Honda ADV160.
The updates include more refined and improved features, enhanced technology, and updated looks. Honda Philippines, Inc. calls it the “The SUV Pride” concept, designed for riders who transition seamlessly between daily commuting and leisure.
Accessible adventure
Inspired by the versatility and rugged look of larger adventure motorcycles, the ADV160 is an adventure-style automatic scooter designed for those who seek excitement, but still yearn for effortless riding thanks to its automatic transmission and advanced safety technologies.
Its latest design captures the spirit of an explorer, featuring a rugged yet premium aesthetic. It boasts of a 780-mm seat height and 165-mm ground clearance. This gives it a commanding view of the road and the ability to clear obstacles with ease.
Powering it is a 157cc, four-valve, liquid-cooled, eSP+ engine. It delivers a maximum power of 11.8-kW at 8,500-rpm and a maximum torque of 14.7-Nm at 6,500-rpm, providing the punchy acceleration needed to stay ahead of traffic. Despite its robust output, it remains efficient with a fuel consumption of 45.0-km.L (WMTC). Combined with an 8.1-L fuel tank, this efficiency allows riders travel further between fuel ups.
Its rear suspension is composed of a spring and a shock with subtank to better absorb road imperfections and provide a smoother ride.
