It was like a big karaoke night as the titos and titas of Manila sang along to both new and old songs by Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams.
Held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena last Jan. 31, Bryan surely gave his fans a memorable night. Presented by Wilbros Live, the Manila leg of his "Roll With the Punches Tour" started strong as he performed the song "Can’t Stop This Thing We Started" and "Straight from the Heart."
Making his way on the stage, some fans were lucky enough to get quick photos and fistbumps with Bryan. It was then followed by "Kick Ass," "Run To You," and "Somebody." Before moving on to another song, Bryan expressed his gratitude to be back and to be performing their songs.
"This is a tour in connection with an album, my 16th album, and we’re gonna play some songs like the last one tonight for you, and we’re also gonna play a lot of old songs and maybe even a couple of radio songs. I just wanna say how happy I am to be back in Manila," Bryan said.

Ripping off some hardcore guitar chords, Bryan and his band perform the songs "18 Till I Die", "Shine a Light," and "Never Ever Let You Go." To make the concert even more exciting, the audience received wristbands that lit up with each song.
Including more than 20 songs on his set list, Bryan made sure to bring back some of his classics like "Please Forgive Me," "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You," and his upbeat rendition of "Heaven."
As the night’s energy surged, the band launched into “You Belong to Me,” prompting some male audience members to dance along — shirts off, fully embracing the moment.
"This song is a rockabilly song, and for those people who do not know what rockabilly is, it’s kind of another way of saying dance music. If you wanna dance and you don’t wanna twerk, you can take off your T-shirt and whip it over your head," he said.

Following the upbeat number, Bryan shifted into a nostalgic mood with "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?" playfully tweaking the lyrics to "Have you ever loved a Filipino woman?" — a change that delighted the concertgoers.
It was then followed by another classic tune, "Here I Am", the soundtrack from the animated film “Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron,” followed by Back to You and a massive sing-along to Summer of ’69.

The night ended with the songs "Cut Like a Knife" and "All for Love." Before exiting the stage, Bryan once again thanked all the fans who came to the concert.
"We’ve been looking forward to playing here in the Philippines for quite some time and like I said early on, this is gonna be the best night we ever had. And it certainly was. Thank you, everybody," he said.
