200 more Pinoy victims of human trafficking in Cambodia arrive at NAIA

Around 200 Filipino human trafficking victims (HTVs) from Cambodia arrived on Thursday morning, Feb, 5, at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) as part of the repatriation program of the government, the
Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said a total of 191 Filipinos from various regions in Cambodia were among those repatriated.
Of the figure, 169 came from Phnom Penh, 13 from Pailin, three from Koh Kong, two from Mondulkiri, three from Svay Rieng, and one from Siem Reap.
The OFWs are escorted by DMW Assistant Secretary Venecio Legaspi, who led the DMW Rapid Response Team to assist distressed OFWs.
The return of the batch brought to 877 the total number of Filipinos repatriated from Cambodia since 2022.
The repatriates will receive comprehensive support from a whole-of-government team, including immediate financial and welfare assistance, medical care, psychosocial support and legal aid.
