Motel employee fatally shot in Tabuk City

TABUK CITY, Kalinga – A motel employee was killed in Barangay Dagupan Centro here on Tuesday, Feb. 3.
Police identified the victim as Ryan Manzano Aggal, 29, of Barangay Uma, Lubuagan, Kalinga.
Investigation said two men entered the motel while the victim was sleeping on a sofa. The suspects left after noticing the victim.
Aggal woke up and stepped outside to urinate and returned to the sofa to sleep. The suspects re-entered the building and shot the victim.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead. The gunmen fled on a motorcycle.
Police recovered a spent cartridge case believed to be from a .45 caliber firearm in the crime scene.
Follow-up and manhunt operations are ongoing.
