The blockbuster TV series "Heated Rivalry" - starring Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie - will return for its second season in spring 2027.
Series creator and producer Jacob Tierney announced the news in an eonline.com article referencing a Los Angeles Times interview.
Jacob also explained that he is taking his time with the series, even as its social media fanbase continues to grow.
“As much as I appreciate how rabid and interested people are at this point, the first season worked because I trusted my gut with this,” said Jacob, 46, “and I’m going to do that again.”
Reports indicate that the upcoming season will focus primarily on The Long Game, the sixth book in Rachel Reid's Game Changers series.
Jacob reiterated his commitment to maintaining the six-episode format established in season one.
“I don’t need to do 10. I would always rather tighten the belt than get loosey-goosey. I would rather be like, ‘Let’s see how much story we can pack into these episodes," he added. "That’s what everybody loves about this show. Less is more!”
Rachel said she is delivering the final chapter of Ilya and Shane's love story in her novel Unrivaled.
“I’m writing this one for all the Hollanov fans, old and new,” the author said in January. “I can’t tell you how much the love my characters have received over the years means to me. It has been a blast writing these guys again, and revisiting the entire Game Changers cast.”
