Senior citizen murders younger brother in Ilocos Norte

A senior citizen allegedly hacked his own brother to death during an argument in Barangay Quiom, Batac City, Ilocos Norte on Friday, Jan. 30.
Police Capt. Angelyn Aguinaldo, deputy chief of the Batac City Police Station, said responding police officers found the suspect at the scene while the 49-year-old victim was lying on the ground with severe hack wounds in the head.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead due to severe injuries.
Aguinaldo said that neither of the siblings was intoxicated or under the influence of illegal drugs but both suffered mild strokes and were at home recovering.
The suspect is detained at the Batac City Police Station.
