Foreign national nabbed for violating immigration laws

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Police and Immigration authorities apprehended a Chinese national here on Monday, Feb. 2, for alleged violation of immigration laws.
The Chinese was identified as Rongtian Shi from Fujian, China.
Shi was apprehended during an operation in a cellphone shop that he owns in Barangay Zone 3.
Authorities said Shi was found to be conducting business activities without the necessary visa or permit, a violation of the Philippine Immigration Act of 1940.
Shi was taken to the police station for proper documentation and processing.
