Dump truck hits barriers, post on Commonwealth Avenue in QC

A dump truck slammed into concrete barriers and a concrete post along the eastbound lane of Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City on Tuesday, Feb. 3, after the driver allegedly fell asleep at the wheel, authorities said.

The truck continued moving after the initial impact and eventually stopped between parked heavy equipment and the fence of the MRT-7 construction site.
Authorities said no injuries were reported in the incident.
According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), traffic was disrupted along the eastbound lane of Commonwealth Avenue while clearing and assessment operations were underway.
