The suspect in the murder of a make-up artist was found dead inside the bathroom of the custodial facility of the Lobo Municipal Police Station in Lobo, Batangas on Sunday night, Feb. 1.
Police said the suspect, Roy, failed to come out of the comfort room while his live-in partner Shelina was waiting outside the custodial facility, prompting the duty jailer to check.
The duty jailer discovered the body of the victim inside the bathroom, sitting on the floor with a white drawstring around his neck, believed to have come from his shorts.
Police rushed Roy to the Lobo District Hospital where he was declared dead.
Roy allegedly killed make-up artist Aljohn Abag and he was arrested on Jan. 31 in San Francisco, Quezon.
Abag’s body was discovered on Jan. 26 in Barangay Fabrica, Lobo, Batangas. His motorcycle was stolen by the suspect.
The suspect faced robbery with homicide and qualified carjacking charges.
Police are conducting a thorough investigation on his death.
