PRO 4-A nets P6-M illegal drugs, 146 guns in January
CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – The Police Regional Office 4-A (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon) reported on Monday significant operational accomplishments in its intensified campaign against illegal drugs and loose firearms from Jan. 1 to 31.
PRO 4-A Director Police Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas said the 996 anti-drug operations conducted during the period resulted in the arrest of 981 individuals across the region.
Authorities seized 1.5 kilos of shabu and 33.79 grams of marijuana with a total street value of P6,011,091.
Ninety-six operations carried out against loose firearms led to the arrest of 80 individuals and the confiscation of 146 firearms, while 18 firearms were voluntarily surrendered to various police stations across the region.
“This is a strong start for 2026 and only the beginning of our intensified campaign against criminality and other illegal activities in the region,” Lucas said.
Lucas commended regional police personnel for their dedication, discipline, and professionalism, noting that these qualities reflect PRO 4-A’s commitment to justice, accountability, and community security.
He further highlighted the significance of continuous intelligence-led efforts and robust cooperation with the community and partner organizations.
Meanwhile, the PRO 4-A named the 1st Batangas Mobile Force Company headed by Police Major Karl Axcel DC Santa Clara as the Best Provincial Mobile Force Company during the PNP Day Celebration 2026 in Camp Vicente Lim here on Monday with the theme “Serbisyong Nararamdaman, Kapulisang Maasahan.”
The unit was recognized for their exemplary performance and dedication in the enforcement of laws, prevention and control of crimes, maintenance of peace and order, and assurance of public safety and internal security from November 2024 to October 2025.
The recognition underscored the steadfast commitment of the Batangas Police Provincial Office in upholding peace and order and highlights the operational effectiveness of the 1st BPMFC in protecting the community and serving the public.
