Pregnant woman, child killed in multiple collision

A pregnant woman and her one-year-old child were killed and four others were injured in a multiple collision in Barangay Tanaytay, Alaminos City, Pangasinan, on Sunday night, Feb. 1.
Police said a motorcycle rammed a tricycle from behind and swerved into the opposite lane.
The tricycle’s passengers landed on the pavement and an oncoming Isuzu Traviz sideswiped the tricycle.
The drivers of the tricycle and motorcycle and his backrider and the three tricycle passengers – a pregnant woman and her one-year-old child and the tricycle driver’s child – sustained injuries and were taken to a hospital. The driver of the Isuzu Traviz was unharmed.
Police said the pregnant woman and her child died and the tricycle driver and his six-year-old child, as well as the motorcycle driver and his back rider, survived.
Authorities are conducting follow-up investigation.
