Pinay stabbed 63 times by American husband dies

BACOLOD CITY – A 36-year-old Filipina stabbed 63 times by her American husband during an altercation in their house in Barangay Pinucauan, Vallehermoso, Negros Oriental on Thursday, Jan. 29, died in a hospital on Friday, Jan. 30.
Police Capt. Stephen Polinar, spokesperson of the Negros Oriental police, said the  victim passed away at around 9 p.m.
Polinar said that parricide charges have been filed against the 40-year-old suspect who used a broken glass to attack the victim and slash himself in the wrist.
He was apprehended by responding policemen.
Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
