National University recently hosted its 3rd Founder’s Cup Golf Tournament as part of the celebration of 125 its 125th anniversary as an institution.
The annual golf event aimed to strengthen the university’s mission to support Filipino scholars nationwide and help advance educational opportunities for future generations.
It also united distinguished alumni, employees, media, institutional partners and benefactors in Tagaytay Midlands to foster a community of shared purpose and camaraderie.
“More than a golf tournament, we once again championed this meaningful initiative, bringing together the biggest number of players and sponsors driven by NU’s commitment to education that works. Every swing supports more than 10,000 scholars to pursue their education and create lasting opportunities for the future,” said NU President and CEO, Dr. Renato Carlos H. Ermita, Jr.
NU Chairman of the Board Dr. Hans T. Sy, NU President and CEO Dr. Ermita, institutional partner-McCoy co-founder Harry van Helvoirt, and NU Alumnus and DATEM founder, Ar. Arnold De Asis led the ceremonial tee-off.
Other notable attendees were government officials Hon. Edwin Olivarez, Sr., and Hon. Nicanor Briones, showbiz personality Richard Yap, and NU alumni athletes, Engineers Dave and Patrick Yu.
