Pambansang Ginoo David Licauco expressed deep respect for journalists and acknowledged the difficulties and dangers they face in their profession.

David shared his thoughts during an interview with "24 Oras" on GMA Network, where he discussed his role as Andrew Dizon, an investigative journalist in the upcoming series "Never Say Die," premiering Feb. 2.

"Nirerespeto ko sila. Katulad sa serye, tinatalakay namin yung mga nangyayaring masama kung saan nilalagay namin ang buhay namin sa panganib. Ganoon din ang trabaho ng mga mamamahayag. Hindi madali. Bilang mamamahayag, malayo ka sa pamilya mo. Hindi mo alam ang mangyayari sa susunod. Para lang makapaglingkod sa mga Pilipino. Nagtatala sila ng balita para maging mulat tayo sa mga nangyayari. (I respect them. Like in the series, we tackle the bad things that put our lives in danger. So that's the job of journalists. It's not easy. As a journalist, you are away from your family. You don't know what will happen next. You don't know. All just to serve Filipinos. They cover stories so we become aware of what's happening)," said David.

Jillian Ward, who portrays a vlogger in the series, mentioned that she finds her character relatable.

"Yung mga Gen Z, nagre-research sila at nabubuksan ang mga mata nila sa mga problema tungkol sa mga bagay at sa bansa natin. Napansin ko rin na talagang edukado sila. (Gen Z) do their research and their eyes are opened to problems with things and our country. I also noticed that they are truly educated)," Jillian said.

Jillian added, "Si Joey Delgado kasi, lagi siyang minamaliit dahil bata siya at babae siya. Pero pinapakita niya na kaya niyang lumaban. Lalaban siya para sa katotohanan at kailangang magwagi ang katarungan." (Joey Delgado (her character) is always underestimated because she's young and a girl, but she shows that she can fight back. She will fight for the truth, and justice must prevail.)"

On his impressions of Jillian, David said, "Malaki ang respeto ko kay Jillian Ward dahil mabait at mapagkumbaba siya. Matalino siya dahil nakikita ko siyang nagbabasa ng mga libro at pati na rin sa mga usapan namin, hindi mababaw. Tungkol ito sa buhay. (I have so much respect for Jillian Ward because she is kind and humble. She is intelligent because I see her reading books, and even in our conversations, they are not shallow. It's about life.)"

Korean star Kim Ji Soo shared his positive experience working with the cast, highlighting Jillian's impressive acting skills, especially during action scenes. He added that the cast has grown closer and enjoys a playful atmosphere on set.

“Never Say Die” delves into a world where truth is multifaceted and achieving justice often demands great sacrifice.

The story follows Joey, a determined daughter seeking justice for her father, and Andrew, a skeptical investigative journalist. Together, they uncover the dark secrets of their families while navigating a world plagued by corruption and drug syndicates. Their journey is a fight for what is right in a society where trusted officials are often complicit in wrongdoing.

"Never Say Die" features an ensemble cast, including Richard Yap as Tomas Limjoco, a philanthropist who secretly leads a major drug syndicate; Kim Ji Soo as Jin-Ho Lee, an Interpol agent with a mysterious agenda; Angelu de Leon as Clarissa Delgado, a mother caught between protecting her family and confronting scandal; and Raymart Santiago as Major Miguel Delgado, a respected officer determined to clear his name.

Additional cast members include Winwyn Marquez as Theresa Park, a high-ranking figure in an international drug syndicate; Analyn Barro as Golda Briones, a daring informant; Raheel Bhyria as Peter Santos, Joey’s tech-savvy and resourceful best friend; Wendell Ramos as Police Major Diego Aglipay, Miguel’s loyal confidant; Ayen Munji-Laurel as Yvette Dizon-Limjoco, a socialite and advocate for the poor; and Gina Alajar as Rebecca Dizon, a veteran journalist who loses her life while on assignment.

The series is produced by GMA Entertainment Group, with Cheryl Ching-Sy (Officer-in-Charge and Vice President for Drama), Ali Nokom-Dedicatoria (Senior Assistant Vice President for Drama), Edlyn Tallada (Senior Program Manager), and Erwin Hilado (Executive Producer) leading the production team.
