San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora excitedly announced the approval of the city's 2nd high-rise housing building by the Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) headed by SHFC President Federico Laxa on Friday, Jan, 30.
According to Zamora, the second building will have 34 storeys and 1,120 housing units and will be located on F. Manalo Street in Barangay Batis.
"Nauna nang naaprubahan ang unang 34-storey na gusali na may 1,013 units. Ibig sabihin, dalawang 34-storey na gusaling pabahay na ang maitatayo natin na may kabuuang bilang na 2,133 units (Our first 34-storey building with 1,013 units had already been approved. This means that we can now build two 34-storey housing buildings with a total of 2,133 units)," the mayor said.
"Maraming salamat po Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., sa iyong Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program. Dahil dito, 2,133 pamilyang San Juaneño ang magkakaroon ng pagkakataong magkaroon ng sarili nilang tahanan (Thank you very much, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., for your National Housing for the Filipinos Program. Because of this, 2,133 San Juaneño families will have the opportunity to own their own homes)," he added.
Zamora also expressed his gratitude to the SHFC and the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) headed by Secretary Ping Aliling for their support in the 4PH program.
