Pasig LGU clarifies viral posts on new animal hospital: 'hindi pagmamay-ari ng lungsod'

To avoid confusion, the Pasig City Veterinary Services Department on Thursday, Jan. 29, clarified that the animal facility featured in some posts is not owned by the city, contrary to claims circulating online that it is operated by the local government.

The posts circulating online claimed that the local government is proud to have its own animal hospital. They also allege that the city said the facility is part of an expanded program for responsible pet care.

In contrast, the city's vet department said the facility is a privately owned veterinary clinic that recently opened in the city.

It added that while the city’s veterinary department will have a new facility, it is still under construction and not yet operational.

The local government urged the public to wait for an official announcement for further details and updates.
