Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano inspected ongoing drainage improvements and asphalt-laying projects in various parts of the city to ensure the quality and safety of these projects.
Rubiano said the inspection aims to ensure that construction is carried out properly and in accordance with standards to guarantee the safety of Pasayeños and motorists passing through the affected roads.
The mayor closely monitored the restoration of roads affected by drainage repairs, stressing that road surfaces must be fully restored after construction to prevent accidents and inconvenience to the public.
She also directed concerned government agencies to fast-track the projects without compromising quality, especially with the rainy season approaching, to help prevent flooding and improve traffic flow in the city.
Rubiano said the city government remains committed to improving road conditions and drainage systems as part of its continuing efforts to enhance public safety and mobility.
