De Sesto said Aris was apprehended by operatives of the Pasay City Police Warrant and Subpoena Section through the service of a warrant of arrest, in coordination with the Candaba Municipal Police Station.
The warrant was issued on July 7, 2025 by Judge Melvin Cydrick Malicdem Bughao of the Pasay Regional Trial Court, Branch 298, for the service of sentence for violation of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The suspect was immediately brought back to Pasay City and detained at the police custodial facility.
Southern Police District Director Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo praised the operatives for their persistence in pursuing suspects even beyond Metro Manila.
“The arrest of Aris in Pampanga demonstrates the seamless coordination between police units and our firm resolve to keep our communities safe by holding fugitives accountable,” Arceo said.
