'Justice for them': Relatives, friends mourn deaths of lady cop, son

Relatives and friends are mourning the tragic deaths of Police Senior Master Sergeant Diane Marie Mollenido, a resident of Taguig, and her eight-year-old son, John Ysmael “Maeng” Mollenido.

After Mollenido was found dead in Pulilan, Bulacan on Jan. 24, the body of her son was found in a calamansi farm in Barangay Maluid, Victoria, Tarlac on Jan. 29.

Police Senior Master Sergeant John Mollenido, the estranged husband of Diane Marie, went to a funeral home in Tarlac and identified the body of their son.

Diane Marie and her son were last seen in Quezon City on Jan. 16. They were reported missing to the Taguig police on Jan. 19.

“We are in so muchhh pain. Help us seek Justice!!!” posted L. Frances, Diane Marie’s cousin, on Facebook.

A friend of Mollenido wrote on Facebook, “Justice for them.”

Mollenido and her son lived in Village Green in Barangay Lower Bicutan, Taguig.

The Southern Police District’s Public Information Office said they are waiting for the autopsy results of the child.
