TACLOBAN CITY – The Regional Mobile Force Battalion-8 was awarded as the Best Regional Mobile Force Battalion by the Philippine National Police during the PNP Day 2026 in Camp Crame, Quezon City, on Thursday.
PNP Day is a celebration honoring the founding of the Philippine National Police and recognizing the outstanding performance of PNP units and personnel nationwide.
Awardees were selected based on operational effectiveness, discipline, professionalism, responsiveness to community needs, and consistent compliance with PNP standards and policies.
Police Lt. Col. Dionesio Maestre Jr., officer-in-charge of RMFB-8, said PRO-8's constant guidance, support, and trust inspired them to perform their duties with dedication and integrity.
Police Brig. Gen. Jason Capoy, PRO-8 director, commended RMFB-8 for exemplary performance and well-deserved recognition.
“The award is a testament to the hard work, teamwork, and professionalism of the battalion’s personnel," he said.
He encouraged them to continue upholding the highest standards of service as PRO-8 remains steadfast in its pursuit of excellence in law enforcement and public service.
