The Quezon City government will be offering financial assistance to the employees of a membership supermarket who were displaced after the structure caught on fire in Fairview, Quezon City on Wednesday, Jan. 28.
“Kasalukuyang nakikipag-ugnayan ang pamahalaang lungsod sa pamunuan ng Landers Supermarket upang tukuyin kung saan ito maaaring makatulong (The city government is currently in contact with the management of Landers Supermarket to determine where it can help),” it said.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection, the fire reached the fifth alarm nearly an hour after authorities responded to the scene.
The local government said the supermarket has been an integral part of the community in its two years of operation through its product offerings.
“Lubos na ikinalulungkot ng Pamahalaang Lungsod Quezon ang sunog na naganap sa Landers Supermarket Fairview noong Enero 29, 2026, na nagdulot ng malawakang pinsala (The Quezon City Government deeply regrets the fire that occurred at Landers Supermarket Fairview on January 29, 2026, which caused extensive damage),” the government said.
Meanwhile, the QC government assured the management of the supermarket its assistance in investigating the alleged theft or looting in the aftermath of the blaze.
The local government further said it looks forward to the rebuilding and eventual reopening of the supermarket in the future.
