The Philippine National Police awarded Police Regional Office-2 as the Best Police Regional Office during the 26th PNP Day on Thursday, Jan. 29, in Camp Crame in Quezon City.
PRO-2 was recognized for its strong operational performance, discipline, and public service across the Cagayan Valley region, particularly through intensified anti-criminality and law enforcement operations.
Also awarded from PRO-2 were: Best Provincial Mobile Force Company – 2nd Cagayan Provincial Mobile Force Company; Best City Police Mobile Force Company – Santiago City Mobile Force Company; Best Municipal Police Station (Type C) – Santa Ana, Cagayan Police Station; and Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer for Operations – Police Col. Mardito G. Anguluan, Cagayan Police Provincial Office director.
The awards were received by PRO-2 chief Police Brig. Gen Antonio P. Marallag Jr., accompanied by unit commanders and individual awardees.
PNP chief Police Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. commended the awardees for upholding professional policing standards and strengthening partnerships with local governments and communities.
He reiterated the PNP’s commitment to integrity and said there is no place for corruption, negligence, or abuse in the organization.
