In a statement, Angono Mayor Gerardo Calderon said that the program is the new initiative of the Municipal Health Office (MHO), launched on Jan. 26, which involves house-to-house visits to residents aged 60 and above.
However, the mayor clarified that the program is currently limited to patients experiencing mobility limitations.
It is the mandate of the government to ensure quality medical services for everyone. Those who are bedridden or elderly residents who have difficulty walking for any reason should no longer be burdened),” the mayor added.
As an initial rollout, the MHO team visited three patients in Barangay San Pedro, providing free medical services such as vital signs monitoring, laboratory examinations, medical consultations, and the prescription and distribution of free medicines.
Calderon said the local government plans to expand the program to other barangays across the coastal municipality in Rizal province.
The mayor also called on the relatives of eligible patients to coordinate and register with their respective Barangay Health Centers, which are working in partnership with the local government for the program.
They may also coordinate through the Angono Public Information Office Facebook page.
Mag-enroll na sa Doc-to-Door Program (With every knock from the Angono MHO Team, we bring comfort, hope, and better health to every household. Do not miss the opportunity to receive medical services in your own home. Enroll in the Doc-To-Door Program),” the mayor urged.
